Water Gilt Oval Mirror

This stunning gold oval mirror is hand made, by us, in our Enfield workshop. A wooden frame is gilded in 24ct gold leaf. Our gilder is considered one of the finest in the country and his work has a subtlety of touch unmatched by many. the wooden frame is covered in layers of gesso and coloured bolle before being gilded and burnished. This is the finest of gilding techniques used for centuries to mimic solid gold on furniture , frames and carving.  As such this mirror is an antique of the future.  We make these frames to order in a few weeks. Size can be adjusted to suit your space.
